Requirements

As a Data Engineer specialising in the Snowflake platform, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining and optimising our modern data stack. Working alongside Data Architects, Analysts and Application teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and related technologies.
  • Working with raw and transformed data to enable analytics, reporting and data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborating on data modelling, schema design and performance tuning for Snowflake.
  • Integrating data sources (cloud, on-premises, streaming, batch) into the data warehouse environment.
  • Ensuring data quality, reliability, documentation and best practices around data governance.
  • Supporting business users, stakeholders and data consumers with the data platform, troubleshooting issues and driving continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

Professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a data engineering role, ideally with Snowflake as a core part of the stack.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modelling) and design patterns.
  • Experience with Snowflake features: e.g., warehouses, micro-partitioning, clustering, performance optimisation.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks, scripting languages (Python, SQL, etc).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data lake/integration technologies.
  • Solid understanding of data quality, data governance, metadata management and documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; local language [if required] is a plus.
  • Proactive, independent, solution-oriented mindset, comfortable working both in a team and autonomously.
