Data Scientist

We are seeking a Data Scientist with a focus on AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our innovative team at Locmatic. In this full-time, on-site role, you will leverage advanced data and LLM technologies to empower food manufacturers and innovators with cutting-edge data insights to fuel their product development and go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Process, analyze, and extract meaningful insights from unstructured data, such as restaurant menus, social media, reviews, and product descriptions.

• Utilize SQL and Python to wrangle, process, and store complex datasets, ensuring data integrity.

• Design, implement, and optimize data and AI pipelines for efficient data processing and enrichment

• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop scalable solutions on cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake/Bigquery

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 1-2 years of experience with data science projects (through internships, personal projects, or professional roles).

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python and experience with AWS and Docker.

• Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and best practices for ensuring high-quality datasets.

• Familiarity with popular data frameworks and libraries for data processing and modeling, such as Snowflake/Bigquery, Spark, and dbt.

• Experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering and model fine-tuning, is preferred.

• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
