Dermatologist (MD/DO)

Position Summary

The Dermatologist provides comprehensive medical and procedural care for diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. This role focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions, skin cancer detection and treatment, and patient education, delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of dermatologic conditions
  • Diagnose and treat inflammatory, infectious, autoimmune, and neoplastic skin disorders
  • Perform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other office-based treatments consistent with training and privileges
  • Diagnose and manage skin cancers, including melanoma and non-melanoma malignancies
  • Provide medical management of chronic conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and dermatitis
  • Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive skin care, and sun protection
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives
  • Supervise and educate residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, or clinical staff as applicable
  • Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited dermatology residency program
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Dermatology
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
  • DEA registration or eligibility

  • Manual dexterity for dermatologic examinations and procedures
  • Visual acuity sufficient for detailed skin assessment

Requirements

Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.

Must be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which you are assigned
