Project Description

The client is rebuilding their WebLogic 14 platform on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 (RHEL 9) to support a mission-critical application suite. This project involves creating a new WebLogic infrastructure from scratch and re-encrypting all secrets and credentials using a new encryption seed. The role includes collaboration with developers to identify customized components and ensure a fully secure and optimized environment.

What You'll Do

• Define and implement a new WebLogic domain template;
• Perform middleware installations on RHEL 9;
• Execute WLST scripts in X11 forwarding sessions;
• Clone administrative credentials into a custom local realm and remove default realm;
• Re-encrypt all secrets and credentials from WebLogic 12;
• Customize config.xml with new encrypted values;
• Deploy administrative and application components;
• Assist development teams in deployments;
• Troubleshoot deployment and configuration issues throughout the project lifecycle;

Job Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with WebLogic (11/12/14) installation, configuration, and administration;
• Proficiency in WLST scripting and WebLogic domain management;
• Strong experience with RHEL (8/9) and Chef;
• Familiarity with X11 forwarding and graphical session management;
• Experience handling secure configurations and credential re-encryption;
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in enterprise environments;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• English level: B1+ or higher;
