About this Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our System Engineering & Automation team within the Analytics & ML Centre of Excellence. The individual will be responsible for delivering production-ready solutions that support secure, scalable, and reliable applications across Vodafone’s global private cloud infrastructure. This role involves integrating DevOps tools, managing service operations, and supporting application lifecycle management for multiple Vodafone entities worldwide.
What you’ll do
Lead system integration and implementation of DevOps tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and APIGEE.
Manage full migration and upgrades to new software releases.
Ensure service management and incident resolution within agreed SLAs.
Maintain application and server availability across UNIX and Windows platforms.
Troubleshoot database and infrastructure-related issues.
Update technical documentation and contribute to the team knowledge base.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
Who you are
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experienced in multi-disciplinary projects with varying complexity.
Skilled in influencing and communicating across technical and organisational boundaries.
Demonstrates strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Proficient in DevOps tools and cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP and AWS.
Technical expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices architecture, UNIX/Linux administration, and IT infrastructure technologies (DNS, Proxy).
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube, and Remedy is advantageous.
ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
