About the Role
Advantage Group International is seeking a DevOps, Team Lead to own and evolve our cloud and DevOps practice. This is a hands-on leadership role for a builder who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys balancing technical execution with people leadership. The successful candidate will design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure while mentoring DevOps engineers and working closely with software development teams. You will play a key role in shaping DevOps culture, defining best practices, and enabling reliable, automated delivery of our platforms.
This is an opportunity for a DevOps leader who is passionate about automation, Infrastructure as Code, and modern cloud platforms. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on practitioner, capable of defining a technical roadmap while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day engineering. You will be responsible for the full DevOps lifecycle and will partner closely with engineering teams to foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Act as a DevOps evangelist, embedding DevOps principles across engineering teams
Lead and mentor a small team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Partner with engineering leadership to align infrastructure and delivery practices with business goals
Define and execute the DevOps and cloud roadmap
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily GCP, with openness to Azure)
Ensure environments are secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized
Optimize the full infrastructure, with a focus on modernizing, hardening security and enhancing monitoring.
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure reproducible and auditable environments
Drive automation across infrastructure provisioning, application delivery, and operational tasks
Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance
Define and enforce security best practices across the development lifecycle

Requirements
Technical Expertise
Strong experience with GCP (preferred) or Azure
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build
Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (GKE or equivalent)
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or equivalent
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
Solid understanding of cloud networking and security best practices
Experience supporting relational and/or NoSQL databases in cloud environments
Leadership & Mindset
Proven experience mentoring or leading DevOps engineers
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Ownership-driven, proactive, and pragmatic approach to problem solving
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on reliability and system quality
Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating across teams
