Our client is seeking a Director of Finance for a 4-5 month contract with the possibility of full time. This position will report into the President and the Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day accounting processes including inventory management, overseeing customer invoicing by Project Accountants, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reportingMaintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and improve financial processesWork closely with Project Accountants to review project profitabilityCoordinate the completion of tax remittances ensuring timely and accurate filingsOversee the month-end and year-end period closing and lead the preparation of monthly financial report ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standardsProvide accurate and insightful financial analysis and explanationManage the external annual audit and address queries during the review processComplete monthly reconciliations, journal entries and internal financial statements and report into publicly traded parent company

What You’ll Bring:
Successful completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldCPA certificationMinimum 3 years of Controller or Senior Accountant experienceExperience in construction accounting would be considered an assetExperience with an accounting software package including TexturaAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
