Distribution Center Receiving Associate
This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this department will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary. Candidate is responsible to inspect and process freight in a safe and correct manner, detail oriented, and good with reading numbers. Load, unload, fills orders, packs, processes, and verifies freight in an accurate and timely manner.
Second shift available!!
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates)
- Maintain quality and accuracy of inventory by inspecting freight and products for correct quantities and conditions, and moving freight manually or with powered equipment.
- Ensure LOS goals are met for unloading trailers by monitoring unloaders and arrival times.
- Inform management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures in the facility.
- Use freight handling equipment in a safe and correct manner.
- Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device
Qualifications
- Experience with signing freight bills, counting freight and creating breakdown list required
- Prior warehousing experience
- Detail oriented and good with reading numbers
- Able to use adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing to correctly verify incoming freight
- Available to work Sundays
- Lifting 50+ pounds
- Communication skills
