DSP Day Program HIRING EVENT - Bronx
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full and Part-Time Day Program Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for multiple Bronx Day Programs.
DATE & TIME: TUESDAY MARCH 31st from 10AM-1PM
LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates.
FULL-TIME POSITIONS:
Pay Rate: $18 - $20.20 per hour depending on driving status and AMAP certification. In addition, this position comes with a very generous and comprehensive Benefit packet. See additional Benefit information below.
Schedule - Monday - Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm (35hours per week).
PER-DIEM POSITIONS:
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-2:30pm (30hours per week).

Responsibilities:
- Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills and habits.
- Accompany participants to appointments, community outings, and other activities.
- Complete progress notes and make entries into the daily log book.
Qualifications
- Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Drivers License for more than one year in good standing preferred
- Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
- Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.
- Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
- Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
