Elastic Engineer

• Elastic Search: Maintain and improve on-premises Elastic Search infrastructure on Kubernetes.
• OpenTelemetry (OTel): Use the framework and tools to standardize the generation, collection, and export of telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) from applications and infrastructure.
• Observability: Maintain and improve on-premises Observability infrastructure.
• Automated Deployments and configuration: Implement and manage automated deployment and configuration processes for Elastic Search and Kibana resources.
• Operational Support: Assist in day-to-day activities related to Elastic Search and Observability.
• CI/CD Support: Facilitate and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Deployment Procedures: Establish and maintain standardized procedures for deploying information systems.
• Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor and maintain the Observability infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Technical Review and Design: Conduct technical reviews, provide assurance, and design deployment strategies.
• Terraform Development: Develop and enhance deployment processes using Terraform and related tools.
• Tasks that are assigned to them by the team by the product owners during sprints.

Qualifications

Mandatory :

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience in relevant field.
• More than 9 years of experience in ICT (e.g. as developer, system administrator, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineer, etc.).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with systems and IT operations.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Observability and OpenTelemetry (OTel).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with agile methodologies.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working on infrastructure as code with Terraform (design and implementation).
• Excellent knowledge of Elastic Search technology stack and its infrastructure lifecycle (patch/upgrade/maintain).
• Excellent knowledge of Observability and Application Performance Metrics based on Elastic Search stack.
• Excellent knowledge OpenTelemetry (OTel)framework and tools to standardize the generation, collection, and export of telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) from applications and infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices (CI/CD, use of automation to improve efficiency, feedback loops, fail fast, etc.).
• Good knowledge of infrastructure as code design and implementation using Terraform.
• Certification: Elastic Certified Engineer.

Desirable:

• Certification: Elastic Observability Engineer
• Certification: Terraform Associate
