Electrical Power Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to design, analyze, and support industrial power distribution systems within a plant or facility. This role focuses on the safe and reliable design of electrical infrastructure supporting motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, and critical power systems.

Responsibilities

• Design plant power distribution systems, including one-line diagrams and load calculations
• Size and specify transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, motor starters, and UPS systems
• Perform power system studies (short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, grounding)
• Support equipment procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable utility requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience with industrial or commercial power systems
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and equipment specifications
• Familiarity with power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar)

Preferred

• PE license or progress toward licensure
• Experience in industrial, process plant, or power-generation environments
