Accountabilities:

Mentor, manage, and grow a high-performing engineering team, providing guidance, career pathing, and performance feedback

Participate in code reviews and provide technical leadership to maintain high-quality software standards

Define, enforce, and continuously improve development and review processes

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure delivery of impactful features and solutions

Contribute to cross-team initiatives and engineering-wide projects to enhance technology strategy and infrastructure

Foster a collaborative, autonomous, and inclusive team culture focused on innovation and problem-solving

Monitor team performance and drive accountability to deliver business value effectively

Requirements:

9–13 years of professional software engineering experience, including 2–3 years managing and building engineering teams

Strong background in software development with proficiency in Java

Familiarity with database technologies, including relational, cloud-based, and NoSQL systems

Experience with infrastructure, orchestration, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Terraform, Docker)

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of empathy for team members

Ability to align engineering practices with business goals and values

Bonus: Experience with JDBC/ODBC drivers, Analytics/BI tools, or cloud data integration
