The Opportunity:
As the Engineering Manager, Vulnerability Management, you will oversee the engineering squad responsible for Iru’s new and fast-growing vulnerability management product. You will lead the development of a high-performance system designed to process billions of events in real-time, enabling customers to detect and assess risks the moment they arise.
Your team will be responsible for delivering advanced security capabilities, including automated remediation and patching, allowing customers to close security gaps instantly without manual intervention. This high-visibility role provides a unique opportunity to solve complex distributed systems challenges, iterate quickly, and build the foundational architecture for a product that is critical to our customers' security posture.
You will also be accountable for maintaining your engineering team’s health, ensuring continuous improvement, and high productivity. Finally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a world-class, inclusive culture within your team.
How You'll Make a Difference Day to Day:
Lead a team of talented engineers who like to ship high-quality code and tackle hard engineering problemsCreate a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, inclusivity, innovation, learning, respect, and transparency while holding a high bar for craftsmanshipContribute to and/or execute on the organization’s vision and standards around security, quality, observability, and clean codeShare your knowledge with team members by reviewing code, collaborating on design documents, giving technical talks, formal mentorship, and JIT feedbackCollaborate closely with the Design and Product teams to ensure that your team has a well-defined roadmapCollaborate with other engineering teams to identify, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity, code quality, automated testing, leveraging AI tools, and other engineering best practices
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
7+ years of experience designing, building and deploying scalable applications leveraging modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar) 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experienceExperience building high-volume or real-time data processing systems using streaming architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Flink).Experience driving the design and implementation of large-scale initiatives for SaaS productsExperience working in high growth startup environments and comfortable balancing tactical and strategic considerationsDeep understanding of agile methodologies and experience optimizing delivery processesThrives in an environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibilityExceptional verbal and written communication skillsRequired to work on-site 3x a week in our Miami office (Coral Gables).
Nice to haves, but NOT required:
Experience working within a product led growth model.Knowledge of communication protocols such as gRPC, REST, etc.Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts or experience building security-focused products.Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Experience in collaborative coding environments, including open-source contributions.
