Hey! We’re The HOTH.

Our name stands for “Hittem’ Over the Head” — a nod to how we approach everything we do: with enthusiasm, creativity, and a focus on delivering real results.

For years, we’ve been known as one of the top players in digital marketing. Now we’re taking that foundation and building what’s next.

We’re investing heavily in AI-driven products and developing new solutions that help businesses get discovered in the age of large language models (LLMs). If you’re excited by fast-moving product development, practical AI applications, and building tools that shape where the internet is heading, this is a really fun moment to join.

We’ve been recognized as one of INC Magazine’s Best Workplaces, and we take that seriously. We move quickly, we support each other, we like smart people who take ownership, and we still find ways to have a blast while doing great work.

About the Position:

We’re looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our Engineering team and work closely with our SVP of Engineering to keep projects organized, priorities clear, and execution moving forward.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes being close to the work. You’ll take complex engineering initiatives and turn them into clear plans, manage day-to-day execution, and make sure important work doesn’t stall or drift.

This isn’t a purely administrative PM role. We’re looking for someone who naturally follows through, understands how Engineering teams operate, and takes pride in pushing work across the finish line.

This is an in-office role based in our St. Pete, FL office.

What You’ll Do (A Day in the Life):

  • 60% – Project Execution & Delivery (Your #1 Focus)
    • Own day-to-day project management for Engineering initiatives from planning through launch.
    • Break down work into clear timelines, milestones, and ownership.
    • Track progress, surface risks early, and keep work moving.
    • Make sure projects are properly scoped before they start and actually finished once underway.
  • 20% – Agile Execution & Team Support
    • Lead and support Agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
    • Help Engineering teams stay focused, aligned, and working against clear priorities.
Ensure Agile processes are being used in a practical, real-world way - not just “by the book.”
  • 10% – Priority Management & Leadership Support
    • Partner closely with Engineering leadership to manage priorities and tradeoffs.
    • Provide clear visibility into what’s on track, what’s at risk, and what needs attention.
Help ensure the team is focused on the right work at the right time.
  • 10% – Intake, Coordination & Documentation
    • Support intake and triage of new Engineering requests.
    • Coordinate across teams to clarify dependencies and expectations.
    • Document workflows, processes, and recurring PM activities to reduce chaos over time.

What We’re Looking For:

Project & Agile Experience

  • Experience managing projects in an Engineering or technical environment.
  • Certified Scrum Master or hands-on experience leading Agile teams and ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retros, backlog grooming).
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology and how it works in real Engineering teams.
  • PMP certification is a strong plus.

Technical Fluency

  • Comfortable working in a technical environment and speaking the language of developers.
  • Able to understand development workflows, tradeoffs, and technical discussions well enough to partner effectively with Engineering.
  • Familiarity with common coding languages and concepts at a high level.
  • Knowing how to code is a bonus, but not required.

Background & Fit

  • A technical PM background is a plus — for example, someone with a Computer Science degree who moved into a management or project leadership track.
  • Strong execution skills and follow-through — you don’t drop details.
  • Comfortable working closely with senior leadership in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear communicator who isn’t afraid to ask questions or push for decisions.
  • Experience using project tracking tools (we use Linear; similar tools are great too).

Bonus points if you’ve helped bring structure and clarity to a growing or fast-paced Engineering team.
