Laba is expanding its portfolio with high-quality English language training programs and we are looking for a dedicated and energetic English Language Teacher to join our team and deliver interactive online lessons for A2–B2 level learners.

Job Purpose

The English Language Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, interactive online lessons for adult learners at A2–B2 levels. This role ensures that students progress effectively through structured online programs while maintaining a high level of engagement, motivation, and learning satisfaction.
The teacher will also collaborate with the Course Coordinator to manage the learning platform, track student progress, and maintain smooth operational processes throughout the course lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Online Teaching & Learning Delivery

  • Conduct daily 4-hour (90 min) online English classes for A2–B2 learners.
  • Deliver live interactive sessions and online lectures, following Laba Group’s instructional standards.
  • Design, create, and adapt lessons and learning materials to meet course objectives and learner needs.
  • Implement a communicative, learner-centered approach that encourages active participation.
  • Facilitate speaking practice, grammar explanations, and vocabulary development tailored to adult learners.

2. Learner Support & Assessment

  • Check, evaluate, and provide feedback on homework assignments.
  • Track and document learner progress, and performance.
  • Ensure consistent communication with students to maintain motivation and course engagement.

3. Platform & Content Management

  • Collaborate with the Course Coordinator to manage the learning platform (LMS).
  • Upload materials, monitor task completion, and ensure accurate data handling.
  • Maintain digital course content and ensure all materials align with CEFR standards (A2–B2).

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with the Course Coordinator to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
  • Communicate important updates to students and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal sync meetings regarding course progress, student performance, and administrative updates.
  • Support onboarding processes for new course groups as needed.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Suggest new teaching activities, tools, and methodologies that improve the learner experience.
  • Maintain a mindset of innovation and continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • C1–C2 level English proficiency with excellent command of grammar and communication.
  • Native Hungarian language knowledge is a must.
  • Degree in English teaching, pedagogy, linguistics, or a related field
  • Experience teaching adults (online teaching experience is an advantage).
  • Confident use of digital classroom tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and learning platforms (Google Classroom, LMS).
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a learner-centered teaching approach.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, interactive online classes with high energy.

Recruitment Process

Our hiring process is transparent and straightforward:

  1. Interview with a Recruiter – an initial conversation to learn more about your background and motivation.
  2. Test Task – a short practical assignment to evaluate your teaching approach, clarity, and instructional thinking.
  3. Interview with the Head of Production and the Head of the Instructional Design Unit – a deeper professional discussion about methodology, course standards, and your fit for the role.
