About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Event Manager to join Skydio’s growing Event Marketing team. This role will be based at Skydio Headquarters and will be responsible for owning the planning and execution of Skydio’s series of Customer Summits, while also supporting a robust and expanding calendar of field marketing events, trade shows, and regional activations.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on event management experience, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys blending strategic planning with on-the-ground execution. This role is critical to delivering high-quality, customer-centric experiences that showcase Skydio’s industry-leading autonomous drone technology and support pipeline growth.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Customer Summit Planning & Execution
Own end-to-end planning and delivery of Skydio’s Customer Summits, including regional and national programs.
Manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics across multiple summits annually.
Coordinate venues, vendors, catering, A/V, signage, staffing, travel, and on-site execution.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and GTM teams to develop agendas, content, and experiences aligned to customer needs.
Ensure a polished, consistent, and premium Skydio brand experience across all summit touchpoints.
Field Marketing & Trade Show Support
Support planning and execution of industry trade shows, regional field events, and customer engagements across the U.S.
Serve as on-site lead or support for assigned events, ensuring smooth execution from load-in to breakdown.
Coordinate logistics for demo assets, marketing equipment, and event materials.
Represent Skydio on-site with professionalism, enthusiasm, and strong brand presence.
Troubleshoot logistical, technical, or operational issues quickly and calmly during live events.
Coordinate with demo teams and technical staff to ensure safe, seamless, and compelling demonstrations.
Interact with customers and attendees, gathering insights and feedback to share with internal teams.
Relationship Building & Internal Collaboration
Build strong relationships with customers, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Serve as a trusted execution partner across cross-functional teams.
What Makes You a Good Fit:
Required Experience
2–4 years of experience in event management, field marketing, or experiential marketing.
Proven experience planning and executing customer-facing events, preferably including multi-day programs.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience planning customer summits, user conferences, or regional customer events.
Familiarity with live event production, A/V coordination, and vendor management.
Experience supporting or coordinating product demonstrations.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Interpersonal & Professional Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver.
Confident, approachable, and comfortable engaging with customers and executives.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Physical & Travel Requirements
Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel frequently across the U.S. for events and customer programs.
Compensation:

At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $113,500 - $145,000*. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s group health insurance plans. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the following benefits: Paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay and 401K savings plan.
