The Role

StarRez is seeking a highly-organized and customer-focused Events Marketing Manager who enjoys building extraordinary in-person experiences and thrives in both the creative and operational sides of event execution. This role is ideal for someone who loves working in a fast-moving environment, can keep many workstreams on track, and understands how events contribute to brand presence, customer engagement, and pipeline generation.

You'll oversee our North American Industry Events program, from major industry tradeshows to more intimate StarRez-hosted events. You’ll manage timelines, budgets, logistics, vendors, booth assets, on-site team coordination, and post-event reporting. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional partners to secure speaking opportunities, support content strategies surrounding events, and ensure StarRez shows up consistently and confidently at every touchpoint. The role is ideally based in Denver to support our tradeshow inventory and onsite needs, but location isn’t a dealbreaker for the right candidate.

 

Role Specifics

  • Location: Remote (US) with Denver, CO preferred (hybrid)
  • Travel: Up to 30% domestic and international (The percentage of travel is an estimation, and it could vary based on business needs.)   
  • Compensation Structure: In addition to the base salary listed below, this role is eligible for a 20% bonus.
  • Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Marketing.

What You Will Own

Own North American Industry Event Strategy & Planning

  • Own the full event lifecycle for industry conferences, partner events, and StarRez-hosted programs.
  • Build and maintain a global industry events calendar and project plans, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.
  • Develop event and sponsorship strategies aligned with broader marketing and company goals.

Manage Tradeshow Execution & Logistics

  • Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, track expenses, and reconcile post-event costs.
  • Oversee tradeshow booth materials, inventory, shipping, setup, and breakdown.
  • Lead vendor sourcing and management, including venues, production partners, and off-site activities.
  • Coordinate onsite staffing, run-of-show details, and overall setup to ensure events run smoothly.

Ensure Excellent Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Community Relations, New Business Sales, and Customer Success teams to build cohesive event experiences.
  • Partner with Marketing teammates to support pre-event promotion, onsite activations, and post-event follow-up.
  • Partner with counterparts in the EMEA and APAC regions to ensure best practices implemented in North America are applied across other markets
  • Maintain positive relationships with partners, internal stakeholders, and executive teams.

Deliver a Strong & Memorable Brand Presence that Drives Business Outcomes

  • Ensure StarRez messaging, design, and brand presence are applied consistently across all North American industry events
  • Contribute to content planning by identifying speaking opportunities, customer highlights, and post-event content potential
  • Track and report on key event metrics and deliver post-event summaries, insights, and recommendations for improvement

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing B2B tradeshow and event programs, ideally across multiple regions and audience types
  • Proven experience overseeing trade show logistics and event coordination
  • Demonstrated success running multiple events at once, balancing competing deadlines, and staying organized

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with B2B SaaS tradeshow and events programs
  • Experience with the higher education industry
  • Experience managing vendors, agencies, and cross-functional teams with and without direct authority
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Creative problem-solving, a proactive mindset, and strong ownership of outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong relationships across teams and with external partners
