About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned, full-stack Senior Engineer to significantly contribute to the development and scaling of our core platform. This role is for a proven generalist who is deeply product focused and takes complete ownership of features from concept to production. You will be expected to make significant contributions across our entire stack, Python (FastAPI), Typescript (Next.js/React), and AWS/Terraform, focusing on delivering high quality, impactful features for our customers. This is a high autonomy role where you will be an independent driver of technical solutions, leveraging your expertise to solve complex problems and rapidly deploy new value in a fast paced, startup environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of full-stack product features end to end, collaborating directly with Product Management and Design to define requirements, break down epics, and ensure engineering quality and speed.

• Design and develop scalable components and APIs across our backend (Python/FastAPI) and frontend (Next.js/React).

• Contribute to system architecture decisions and implementations for high traffic production environments.

• Drive necessary changes, conduct thorough code reviews, and debug issues across the entire application stack.

• Work closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate, serve, and iterate on model powered features and data pipelines.

• Contribute to the management and evolution of our infrastructure, primarily utilizing AWS and Terraform.

• Act as a technical leader, mentoring peers, driving best practices, and ensuring full-stack consistency, performance, and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of dedicated professional full-stack development experience. (Preference for 10+ years.)

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with our core stack: Python, FastAPI, Typescript, Next.js, React, AWS, and Terraform.

• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating production grade, customer facing SaaS and web applications end to end.

• Significant experience in a small startup environment (e.g., one of the first few engineers, seed/Series A), where success required high self motivation, ownership, and concurrent contribution across product, infrastructure, and operations.

• •Expert level backend engineering with Python, FastAPI, and robust database experience (Postgres, SQLAlchemy).

• High proficiency in modern frontend development with Next.js/React.

• Strong infrastructure experience: AWS services, Terraform, observability tooling, monitoring, scaling, and resiliency.

• Demonstrated ability to drive feature development independently, balancing long term architectural longevity with the rapid delivery of customer value.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with financial data, documents, and relevant security best practices.

• Prior experience with AI/ML services and serving models in production.

• Experience with agentic AI platforms and tools or information retrieval systems.

• Experience building or working with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

• Practical experience utilizing coding Large Language Models (LLMs) in development (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to enhance speed and quality.
