The Fabricator I supports production by performing foundational fabrication tasks under direct supervision. This role focuses on learning fabrication processes, safe equipment operation, and quality standards while contributing to customer-specific orders.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Cut rope to specified customer lengths using chop saws and measuring tools
- Assist with pressing and installing buttons to defined diameter requirements
- Practice, train, and obtain annual welding certification to ensure weld integrity and reliability
- Strip plastic coating from rope per work instructions
- Apply protective coatings or paint to exposed rope and button assemblies
- Perform basic visual quality inspections to ensure product meets specifications
- Safely operate hand tools and entry-level fabrication equipment
- Follow all safety, quality, and standard work procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Compensation:
$21.50/hr
+ Monthly Incentive Payments based on meeting operational metrics after the 90-day probationary period is complete
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 7 am - 3 pm
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read basic work instructions and measurements
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn fabrication skills and processes
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work with hands for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior manufacturing or fabrication experience

Materials and Equipment Directly Used
- Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes.
- Strand and Wire rope of various diameters and lengths, on reels or in coils, empty or unassembled reels, paper lagging strips, tags, seizing wire, blocking, thimbles.
- Rewinding machines, stanchions, shafts, collars, bushings, rope cutters, measuring devices, fork trucks, banding equipment, welders, and various hand tools.
