Job Summary of the Facilities Maintenance Technician II

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II will work with Facilities Management to support daily operations through such activities as performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting utility & processing equipment & systems. Looking for a self-starter needing minimal instruction and/or supervision.

Requirements of the Facilities Maintenance Technician II

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and wright the English language fluently
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance
  • Experience is working in Food, Pharmaceutical and/or FDA regulated environments desirable
  • Experience in working w/Blue Mtn CMMS is desirable
  • Able to work 2nd shift (3-1130pm), Monday - Friday

Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Technician II     

  • Under the direction of Facilities Management primary responsibilities include facility/maintenance support for the following:
    Performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on the following utilities equipment:
    • HVAC equipment including Boilers Chillers & AHUs
    • Water purification systems
    • Pumps
    • Motors
    • Compressors
    • Processing equipment including Incubators & Pumps
  • Ability to read and understand MEP drawings
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Ability to gown in clean room attire for work in the cGMP processing areas
  • Ability to follow GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
  • Familiarity with powered and manual hand tools
  • Ability to operate a variety of meters for diagnostics.
  • Provide responsive customer support with emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment and interact with other functional groups such as engineering, quality, regulatory and operations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Performs other duties as directed by Facilities Management

Physical Requirements
The work is medium work which requires exerting up to 30 pounds of force and occasionally exerting up to 60 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Additionally, the work requires the following: mental acuity, visual acuity, walking, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, hearing, and typing.

Working & Environmental Conditions
Work involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations. Axogen facilities include a controlled environment where gowning is required and facilities that are controlled by HVAC. Frozen products require handling of dry ice with applicable PPE.

Benefits/Compensation

2nd and 3rd shift positions are eligible for additional shift differential. 2nd shift is an additional $1.50/hr and 3rd shift is an additional $2.00/hr.

Hourly Pay Range
$21.85$27.31 USD
