Meet the Family Law team
Family Law is a division of LEAP Legal Software which specialises in software solutions for our Family Law vertical. This is a one-of-a-kind team paving the way for a new structure in LEAP which focuses on tailored products for specific verticals of law. This team includes experienced legal professionals, developers, designers, and client-focused operational experts. We have in-house Australian Family Lawyers who are the experts in guiding the direction that our products take, along with a mature client feedback function.
What you'll do
As a Family Lawyer, you'll work closely with a Senior Software Engineer and bring your expertise in family law to understand our clients, to focus on the needs of family law firms, and their legal software.
You'll help drive the direction of a key family law product within the family law team to take full ownership of the product backlog and roadmap, ensuring everything we build meets the needs of our users, customers and internal teams. The work you do will help define and deliver impactful features that contribute to our overarching mission to “help lawyers who help people”. The products you contribute to will see your colleagues in family law soar and put them ahead of every other lawyer out there.
To make this happen, you will:
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of LEAP Family Law products and the documentation requirements.
- Creating and editing online knowledge articles for a product.
- Producing Release Notes for Product Releases.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of family law practitioners to provide ongoing feedback to help drive the development of a key product in the family law vertical.
- Write legal content to be used for the product.
- Test the product and provide clear feedback and direction.
- Conducting ongoing QA testing as needed.
- Ensure clients use LEAP Family Law in the best possible way.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of experience as a qualified Family Lawyer.
- An interest in technologies and their application within the legal sector. A technical background, or good understanding of tech and AI is extremely beneficial.
- Excellent legal drafting skills.
- Strong presentation skills – you can effectively present LEAP features to a group of people and have the ability to read the room.
