The Site Superintendent will oversee installation of TTX equipment at our customer site. They will monitor operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time, within budget and to the right quality standards. The Site Superintendent will also be responsible for reporting information on a daily and weekly basis back to Therma-Tron-X headquarters regarding progress, timesheets, and other required data.
General Responsibilities
Monitor installation progress, oversee delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any problems which could hold up work as they arise.Maintain contact with members of their site team at all times, and liaise with technicians, architects, engineers, surveyors and planners.Maintain contact with the customer and provide progress updates as required.Effectively communicate and coordinate with Project Engineer, Installation Management and Field Leadman.Ensure that work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation.Ensure that deadlines for completing work is met.Maintain all records of field activities, subcontractor activities, and customer interactions, problems and problem resolution.Submit verbal and written reports to TTX personnel as directed. Assist in logistical planning and coordination of personnel, vehicles, equipment, supplies and vendors needed during installation.Ensure that all tasks are completed in an efficient, professional manner.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience is acceptable. Experience in a manufacturing environment or construction site is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Math skills including basic math, fractions, decimals, algebra and geometry.Ability to precisely read a tape measure Knowledgeable on a variety of metal working tools and safe use of these tools.Attention to detail and ability to review site craftsmanship.Ability to read and follow written and verbal standard operation and safety instructions. Ability to cooperate with TTX management and accept instructions.A positive attitude and willingness to work with all fellow co-workers.Must maintain acceptable attendance and arrive at work early enough to be ready to work at the start of shift. Follow safety procedures and reporting requirements, including participating in all required safety training.Responsible for upholding safety standards and the safety documentation for equipment onsite. Must be able to stand for a minimum of up to 11 hours per day, with potential kneeling, squatting, crawling or climbing ladders.Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs.Willingness to help in any role on the job site as needed.International travel may be required.
