DISHER is currently partnering with a tool and die manufacturing company based out of Marne, MI. This company is a West Michigan–based, ISO 9001–certified tooling manufacturer specializing in production-ready tools for the metal stamping industry. The company is part of a larger industrial holding group, and it offers extensive in-house capabilities including tryout presses, CNC machining, wire EDM, CMM inspection, five-axis fiber laser, and sheet hydroforming to support complex, high-precision stamping programs.

You’d be trusted to set up and run your work area and solve problems as they come up. You will be expected to work independently from prints and models, plan your build, machine and fit components, assemble and debug tools, and see dies through finalizing.
What you will get to do:
Coordinate and facilitate die build from assembly through finalizing.
Coordinate with management toward a common goal, make delivery of a quality product.
Train apprentices, line up personnel, work with programmers and designers.
Communicate with customers in certain instances.
Adhere to the Quality System.
Promote, facilitate, and demonstrate continuous improvement.
What will make you successful:
High school diploma. Journeyman Card and/or 8 years of training preferred.
A strong understanding of progressive, transfer, and line dies.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to develop trim line.
Understanding die details on detail prints as well as layout details for machining.
Understanding timing, delivery, and quality requirements.
Good communication skills.
Proficiency with measuring tools and quality inspection techniques.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safety, precision, and continuous improvement.
