Overview
Our client, a global leader in crop nutrition and a provider of environmental and agricultural solutions is currently in need of Finance Manager. In this role you will provide financial support to the Country Manager by delivering accurate and timely financial information for decision-making, while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our client's financial records. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing budgets, analysing financial data, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field or equivalent by experience
- Professional certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in auditing firm, finance management and leadership role
- Experience working with the Sun System (SUN6 ERP, preferably) would be ideal
- Analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions based on that analysis
- A solid understanding in finance business partnering, accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including those related to financial reporting and taxation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate financially
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- The ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
What you'll do:
- Manage month-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries
- Review, oversee, and approve balance sheet reconciliations within agreed timelines
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records and reports
- Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
- Oversee weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Plan, coordinate, and manage interim and year-end external audit requirements and statutory financial reporting
- Review of financial and legal documents for accuracy and compliance with company principles and accounting standards
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Review year-end accounts and manage tax-related matters
- Support senior management with cash flow planning and management
- Develop and recommend financial solutions and improvements based on analysis
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Compile and manage annual departmental and business unit fixed cost budgets
- Monitor and control fixed costs against budget, including variance analysis and explanations
- Authorize and control departmental expenditures
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and financial institutions
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Perform ad hoc finance-related tasks as assigned by senior leadership
