We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Financial Accountant (fixed-term contract) to join our team. This is an exciting time to be part of our organisation as we navigate a period of significant growth and change.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Financial Control in the delivery of the External and Internal Reporting requirements of the business, alongside driving systems and process improvements

You’ll play a key role during a busy period of systems change - keeping things on track while we implement new tools.
Help improve how we support audits, making sure internal and external requests are met quickly and efficiently.
Manage month-end reporting of intragroup balances and ensure timely updates for other group entities.
Whether it’s a colleague or external contact, you’ll make sure every interaction builds confidence in Checkatrade.

We would like you to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
You are adept at using systems to identify and implement process improvements
You are someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by opportunities and challenges
A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. Your collaboration and communication skills are essential for building strong relationships across the finance team and with key business stakeholders
Strong commercial and analytical acumen
You are a self-starter who thrives on ownership and is motivated by making improvements.
