About the role

Reporting to the Director, FP&A, the Financial Analyst plays a key role in delivering AlayaCare’s monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, period‑end, and business‑analysis activities. You will support budgeting for new and existing projects and create financial reports and insights for senior stakeholders across the business.

You’re motivated by solving complex problems through data, enjoy collaborating with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders, and are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented SaaS environment.

What you'll do

  • Improve and maintain departmental operating budget models to support effective planning and decision‑making.

  • Enhance the quality and efficiency of reporting within the Workday Adaptive Planning platform.

  • Assist in preparing and refining reports and presentations for the Board and senior leadership team.

  • Build ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis for stakeholders across the business.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly reporting outputs, including revenue and margin analysis, management packs, communication decks, and departmental/corporate KPIs, within agreed timelines.

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting files in collaboration with senior management.

  • Document and update procedures for recurring work and technical processes to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.

  • Assist with audit requests and other finance‑related tasks as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the broader Finance & Accounting team.

What you bring to the team

  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., B.Comm, B.Sc.).

  • Strong experience with budgeting and financial modelling and the ability to build, maintain, and interpret complex financial models.

  • Solid financial analysis skills and a demonstrated penchant for critical thinking and problem‑solving.

  • Ability to effectively apply accounting knowledge in a practical, business‑focused context.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high quality in reporting and deliverables.

  • Strong organization and task prioritization skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Demonstrated team player who collaborates effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

  • Excellent Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.

Nice to have

  • Supplemental degree or accreditation such as Master’s, CPA, CFA, or similar professional designation.

  • Previous experience working with NetSuite as an ERP system.

  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Vena, or other FP&A / planning software.

  • Prior experience in a SaaS or technology company in a comparable role.

Location and Work Model  

This role is based in the Greater Montreal Area. At AlayaCare, our hybrid model includes set in-office collaboration days, and it is expected that team members are present in the office on those days to foster connection, innovation, and teamwork.
