Join us as a key member of our finance team, supporting our service line partners serving our community. The Analyst will assist finance staff to prepare, analyze and make recommendations related to financial reports & statistics. Analyze and reconcile general ledger activities and functions in accordance with organization policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role serves as Financial Analyst in accordance with BTBH, Hope and Mission organizational policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Assist with the administration and recommendations of agency contracts. An ideal candidate will be detail oriented, analytical, and enjoy working on a collaborative team where they are seen as a partner across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data.
  • Review and ensure the integrity of BTBH, Hope and Mission's data.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to various supporting schedules & sub-ledger systems
  • Assist in creating and updating supporting detailed spreadsheets and forecasting related to annual budgeting.
  • Work with others in the organization to improve their ability to run reports and analyze data.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses for managers and executives.
  • Prepare schedules necessary for the completion of the annual audit.
  • Create and distribute recurring reports on established frequencies.
  • Assist with the month-end close process.
  • Use graphs and other methods to visualize data and to help others understand our data.
  • Develop systems of reporting, automating where possible, to swiftly and efficiently go from raw data to presentable reports.
  • Develop an efficient approach to the collection, storage, access and reporting of BTBH’s financial data.
  • Create presentation and reports based on recommendations and findings.
  • Navigate and extract necessary data from our many information systems, particularly our EMR system.
  • Prepare summarized financial or statistical reports from raw data. Analyze and make recommendations based on the findings.
  • Assist in analyzing and making recommendations on new non-clinical vendor contracts with regards to pricing, service, and quality.
  • Maintain patient related census statistics.
  • Assist in the preparation of new contracts and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU’s).
  • Demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to hospice programs and services.
  • Maintain confidentiality according to organization policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics department to ensure consistent and accurate information is disseminated.
  • Ability to work onsite with the team and business partners.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, procedures, or governmental Ability to write reports and routine business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff.

  • Ability to choose among alternatives when completing work. Work is periodically reviewed by management at key intervals for advice/guidance prior to completion.
  • Proficiency utilizing payroll/accounting software, MS Word, Excel and other software programs.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

Pay Range:
$85K - $100K annually
