Role Overview

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team, with a strong grounding in Excel-based financial modelling and a clear ability to translate analysis into well-structured, decision-ready insights.

This is not a pure modelling role. While building and working with financial models is a core part of the position, equal emphasis is placed on interpretation, synthesis, and communication. The analyst will regularly convert complex analysis into clear PowerPoint materials for senior stakeholders.

The role suits a high-potential analyst with strong fundamentals, sound commercial judgement, and the confidence to move between detailed analysis and high-level narrative. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple workstreams, dealing with ambiguity, and focusing on outcomes rather than model complexity.

This position offers strong development exposure across financial analysis, modelling, and executive communication within a fast-paced, collaborative finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve Excel-based financial and analytical models.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, scenario, and sensitivity analysis across multiple business areas.
  • Translate business questions into structured, driver-based analytical and modelling frameworks.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities while maintaining analytical rigor and model quality.
  • Clearly communicate assumptions, methodology, and insights to stakeholders through Excel outputs and PowerPoint materials.

Technical & Professional Capability

  • Strong professional foundations with a clear willingness to continuously improve and deepen technical capability.
  • Curious, self-driven learner with strong analytical discipline.

General:

  • Ability to build robust, well-structured financial models that can be used, reviewed, and maintained by the wider team.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Awareness of Excel performance considerations in large or complex models.
  • Ability to trace outputs back to underlying assumptions and drivers.

Formulas & logic:

  • Practical experience with SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, and dynamic arrays.
  • Tools:
  • Familiarity with Data Tables, Validation tools, Named Ranges, Pivot Tables, Power Query etc.

Standards:

  • Familiarity with recognised modelling standards (e.g. FAST, SMART) is beneficial but not required.

PowerPoint:

  • Strong fundamentals in PowerPoint, including slide structuring, clear layout, and logical flow.
  • Ability to translate complex Excel-based analysis into concise, well-structured slides.

Presentation:

  • Confident presenting financial analysis and model outputs to stakeholders.

Requirements
