Financial Counselor - Revenue Cycle - Full Time (40 hours/week)

Responsible for verifying insurance and notifying payers of hospital stays.  Provides estimates and collects coinsurance.  Assist patients with insurance coverage options and enrollment.  Make financial arrangements on all patient account balances.  Provide accurate documentation on patient files.  Responsible for collection of accounts receivable. The Financial Counselor position requires fundamental knowledge of KVH collection policy as well as the many different options that a patient may have for financial assistance.

Qualifications

What is required...

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year patient account billing or collection experience
• Knowledge of insurance verification, authorization fundamentals, and financial assistance

What is preferred...

• Certified coder
• Bilingual

Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range starts at $21.63/hour and goes up to $32.79/hour.  Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

FTE:  1.0 (40 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00a-4:30p
