SOSi is looking for a Fire Alarm and Suppression System Technician to support our government customer in Doha, Qatar.
Essential Job Duties:
- Support Operations Manager in the management of all fire alarm (FA) and fire suppression (FS) systems on the contract.
- FA systems inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM).
- FS systems ITM.
- Engine driven fire pump ITM.
- Fire extinguisher ITM, including hydrostatic testing.
- FA and FS alert and reporting systems ITM.
- FA and FS system installation and/or modification.
- FA and FS system component inventory management.
- Completion and submission of NFPA and Dept. of State required documentation and reporting.
- Preparation of job hazard/risk analyses.
- Proper use and wear of task required personal protective equipment.
- Prepare reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current NICET level III or IV certification for fire alarm or fire suppression systems.
- Have at least five years experience managing the following fire and life safety system functions:
- FA systems inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM)
- FS systems ITM
- Engine driven fire pump ITM
- Fire extinguisher ITM, including hydrostatic testing
- FA and FS alert and reporting systems ITM
- FA and FS system installation and modification
- FA and FS system component inventory management
- Completion of NFPA required documentation and reporting
- At least 5 years’ experience in providing O&M support services to large facilities or operations.
- At least 2 years experience providing O&M services on US contracts overseas.
- Job requires bending, twisting, routinely lifting over 25 lbs, and climbing ladders.
