Food Service / Kitchen Helper - Part-time Days and PMs

What you will do in this role:
As a Dietary Aide, you play an important role in caring for our patients. For most, a meal is more than just food — it’s a moment of comfort and connection during a challenging time. Your kindness and attention help bring smiles and strength, making a real difference every day.

• Serve meals with care and encouragement
• Clear and clean tables, creating a welcoming and comfortable dining space
• Assist with dishwashing and support the kitchen team to keep everything running smoothly
• Work closely with your kitchen team to ensure every patient receives the right meal, on time, with a friendly touch

Qualifications

Dietary Aide:  Officially we title this job a Dietary Aide, but in other centers it may be called a Restaurant Server, or a Dishwasher.

What we need from you:

• ServSafe Food Handler Certificate (strongly preferred)
• Some prior food service experience – specifically in a medical facility or commercial/central kitchen is preferred
• Basic knowledge of computer-based documentation systems
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to regularly push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and pass a pre-employment physical and background check

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT.  We currently provide comprehensive management services to several inpatient healthcare centers throughout Northern IL & the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs), Short-term Care Rehabilitation, Intermediate Care (ICFs), and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.

About the Company

• Start Date:  ASAP, we have a new employee orientation class starting soon
• Hourly Wage Estimate:    $16.00 hourly
• Part Time Schedule: 2-3 shifts per week
  • Shifts:  some shifts will be 6:30am -2:30pm and others will be 12:00pm-8:00pm with an every other weekend rotation.  You must have availability to work both shifts.
