We recently raised our seed round from incredible investors (to be announced) and are looking for gritty, fast-learning engineers to join us.

About the role

You’ll own how Pointer lands – embedding with customers to discover their processes, build automations, and drive measurable ROI. This is the tip of the spear for how Pointer goes to market.

This is a role for someone who loves doing it all. One day you're shadowing an operations team to map their workflows, the next you're building a custom automation, and the next you're presenting ROI metrics to their CFO. You are equal parts engineer, operator, and business partner.

What you’ll work on

• Partnering with customers to discover processes and understand how work actually gets done – shadowing, mapping workflows, and identifying the repetitive tasks that can be automated

• Building and deploying automations tailored to each customer's systems, edge cases, and operational reality

• Measuring outcomes and proving ROI: hours saved, throughput increased, error rates reduced

• Owning the feedback loop: patterns you find in the field directly shape what we build into the platform

• Representing Pointer externally: demoing features, writing technical posts, and being a trusted partner to our customers

You’ll be a good fit if

• You’re a strong generalist engineer: comfortable across backend (Node, Postgres), frontend (React/TypeScript), and ML-adjacent tasks (model fine-tuning/agent configuration)

• You have excellent communication skills and can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders

• You think in terms of business outcomes

• You’re comfortable jumping into ambiguous problems and finding creative solutions fast

• You have experience in solutions engineering, growth engineering, or as a technical founder
