What You’ll Do
You’ll join the Billing Engineering team, responsible for building and evolving the systems that power how our customers are billed for their usage across AI workloads. This isn’t a space with established playbooks — we’re designing billing systems that fit a new generation of AI products, where no one has fully figured out what “right” looks like yet.
About the role
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product design, and the evolving economics of AI. As a Full Stack Engineer on the Billing team, you’ll help create the systems that determine how our customers understand, control, and pay for their usage — a space where thoughtful engineering directly shapes user trust and business value. You’ll design and build end-to-end features across Go and React, collaborating closely with teammates to refine what success looks like as we learn. In a fast-moving field without clear precedents, you’ll have meaningful influence and abundant opportunities to grow.
Who You Are
- 1–3 years of experience building web applications, or equivalent personal projects that demonstrate full-stack ability.
- Familiar with Go, React, or similar technologies, and eager to deepen your expertise in both backend and frontend development.
- Comfortable building and connecting systems through APIs, and curious about how those connections shape the product experience.
- Experience thinking about performance and stability in real-world systems — for example, optimizing queries, caching data, or handling edge cases gracefully.
- Bonus: you’ve built something end-to-end that people actually use — even if it’s just for fun or for yourself.
Preferred
- Interested in how user incentives and perceptions of value are driven by pricing and product design.
- Passionate about understanding how thoughtful software design can drive flexibility, empower better user experiences, and enable the business to adapt to evolving needs.
- Energized by exploring open problems and helping shape what success looks like alongside your team.
- Someone who enjoys collaborating across disciplines and helping others learn as you do.
Wondering if you’re a good fit?
- You love taking ownership of projects and seeing them through to something real people use.
- You’re curious about how new business models — like usage-based pricing — can shape the AI ecosystem.
- You enjoy small, fast-moving teams where learning and iteration are constant.
