General Accounting
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly, and ensure all transactions follow the company's internal processes (P2P, S2C, and other accounting processes).
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of reconciliation activities with supporting documentation.
- Generate and close general ledger, depreciation, and accrual expenses, and prepare accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) reports for management review.
- Prepare financial statements, perform balance sheet and trial balance reconciliations; coordinate with management for month-end and year-end reports.
- Prepare various financial analysis reports and propose improvements to accounting procedures.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls; assist with initial internal control evaluations.
- Prepare budget forecasts and analyze monthly budget variances; assist in asset management control.
- Engage in cost control and financial reporting per requirements and regulations.
- Support the Chief Accountant in preparing financial statements, consolidation reports, and management reports
Tax Compliance
- Collaborating with Tax specialists in preparing and submitting monthly reports including VAT, WHT, PIT, CIT, and finalizing submissions to tax authorities.
- Generate and present a monthly tax risk report to the line manager.
- Compute taxes and stay updated on changes in finance and accounting regulations.
- Prepare documents for tax inspections and internal/external audits; provide data and explanations to auditors and inspection agencies
- Prepare periodic reports such as foreign currency transactions, any annex to State Bank, statistics officer, and assist in reviewing audit reports and transfer pricing documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree.
- +3 years of experience in Accounting, at least 1 year as a General Accountant, preferably in FDI company, IT/Service industry
- Proven previous working experience in a similar role
- Great knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (Misa, Quick Book, Xero, etc.)
- Advanced MS Excel Skills, PowerPoint skills,
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Intermediate English communication
NICE TO HAVE:
- Certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
