As a member of the Global Payroll Support team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll services across multiple countries. You will join our Global Payroll Support team in Colombo, Sri Lanka where we strongly believe that working hard and having fun are two compatible elements.
This role has some specific regular tasks but also has many ad hoc tasks.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Collect and record payroll-related data changes, including new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments.
- Liaise with Global Payroll Executives to support the processing of payrolls across multiple countries.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry into payroll systems and any 3rd party platforms (e.g. Pension).
- Maintain alignment and data integrity between THOR and external payroll systems.
- Manage and maintain the country specific payroll mailbox and respond promptly to employee inquiries
- Monitor and validate payroll inputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support compliance with local payroll regulations by ensuring correct documentation and data handling.
- Assist in preparing payroll documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Work closely with the HRSSC teams to ensure payroll data is accurate and reflects organisational changes.
- Respond to internal queries related to payroll data, timelines, and system updates.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external 3rd party providers

- Able to work closely with IFS HR and payroll teams to ensure data integrity, system efficiency and quality in the payroll process, whilst also understanding the impact for changes not only within payroll system but in finance as well
- Be skilled in Excel with the ability to build reports
- Be able to build and maintain strong peer group relationships
- Have a track record of continuous improvement and measured success
- Must be willing to work EU / UK standard hours when necessary
Qualifications
- A relevant University Degree
- 2 to 3 years’ experience working in a payroll team
- Previous global payroll exposure would be an advantage
