JoPay is building the next generation of distributed infrastructure tools for modern engineering teams. Our platform helps companies manage containerized workloads at scale with minimal operational overhead.

The Role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join our core platform team. You'll work on high-throughput services that handle millions of requests daily, contribute to our open-source tooling, and help shape our technical direction.

What You'll Do

Design and build scalable microservices in Go

Develop and maintain APIs consumed by internal teams and external customers

Improve system reliability, observability, and performance

Collaborate with infrastructure and frontend teams on cross-functional projects

Participate in on-call rotation and incident response

What We're Looking For

3+ years of professional experience with Go

Strong understanding of concurrency patterns and memory management

Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar data stores

Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

Comfortable working in a distributed, async-first team

Nice to Have

Contributions to open-source projects

Experience with gRPC or GraphQL

Background in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)

Compensation

€70,000–€95,000 + equity, depending on experience
