We’ve partnered with a private Australian property investment and development group focused on long-term growth, managing everything from construction through to asset ownership and operations. Their portfolio spans high-quality residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, with an integrated in-house finance and construction team supporting the full lifecycle.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Graduate Accountant to join their in-house finance team in a true entry-level opportunity designed for someone eager to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.

This role has been created following an internal promotion, opening up a seat for someone junior to step in, receive hands-on training, and grow with the business. You will support the day-to-day accounting operations across both property and construction, gaining exposure to real-world commercial finance from Day One.

You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and an experienced team who will train and mentor you through every stage of your development.

This is a full-time, five-days-in-the-office role based in Sydney.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage daily accounts receivable, including tenant receipt allocations and journal entries.

  • Process full-function accounts payable, including invoice processing, approvals, payment runs and creditor reconciliations.

  • Maintain daily cash flow reporting and assist with monthly reconciliations.

  • Perform accurate data entry and assist with maintaining financial records.

  • Support job cost processing and liaise with project and construction teams to ensure costs are tracked and reconciled.

  • Cover job costing tasks when required during leave periods, with full training provided.

  • Provide general support across the accounting team with routine finance tasks and ad-hoc projects.

What you’ll bring:

  • A degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business (or close to completion).

  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career in accounting and finance.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Confidence working with Excel and an interest in working with accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB or similar.

  • A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Who you are:

You are curious, calm and patient, with a natural interest in numbers and how businesses operate financially. You ask questions, take ownership of your learning, and enjoy working in a structured, supportive environment. You are reliable, organised, and ready to take the first serious step in your accounting career.

Why you’ll love working here:

  • You will receive hands-on, one-on-one training from senior accountants who genuinely invest in your development.

  • You will gain real exposure to both property and construction accounting, including job costing.

  • You will join a friendly, close-knit finance team that values support, teamwork and mentoring.

  • You will have access to long-term career progression, with internal examples of fast growth.

  • You will enjoy a supportive office culture with team lunches, birthday celebrations and a collaborative environment.
