This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance matters across the Group, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and regulatory adherence in a dynamic, international environment. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on advice and actively drive and support the company’s strategic ambitions.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the Group Legal and Compliance function for all legal and compliance matters across the Group, with one direct-report group legal resource, while collaborating with and supporting internal legal counsels and/or Finance Directors in the jurisdictions we operate.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to executives and managers on a broad range of legal areas, including but not limited to contract law, M&A, technology and privacy laws (GDPR), marketing and consumer protection, risk and compliance, and other corporate and business matters.
- Support adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including EU/EEA regulations, across all markets where we operate.
- Participate in, and contribute to, tender processes, contract negotiations and vendor management towards suppliers, partners and consultants, in close collaboration with our Group Procurement Director.
- Lead, coordinate, instruct and review the use of external legal counsel, both domestic and international.
- Prepare, attend and represent the company in relevant court hearings and in litigation processes.
- Monitor and report key risks to the management and the Board of Directors, and deliver training on key legal aspects, including compliance and corporate governance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a legal professional
- Master of Law degree with strong academic results
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical skills and sound business judgement
- Strong ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, driving alignment and delivering practical solutions
- Interest and ability to navigate and ensure compliance in the EU regulatory landscape and provide related hands-on business-oriented advice
- Fluent in written and spoken English is a must
