LSH Auto is excited to announce an opening for a Group Used Car Buyer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality used vehicles that align with our customer needs and market demand. Your expertise will help us expand our inventory while ensuring profitability and exceptional quality.

As a Group Used Car Buyer, you will analyse market trends, negotiate with suppliers, and develop strong relationships with various sources to ensure the best purchasing options are available. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the overall direction of our used car offerings.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: Competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a used car buyer or in a related position within the automotive sector.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to assess vehicle value accurately.
• In-depth knowledge of the used car market, including trends and pricing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers.
• A data-driven approach to making purchasing decisions.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A valid UK driving licence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and purchasing used vehicles from various channels, including auctions, dealers, and private sellers.
• Evaluating vehicles for condition, pricing, and marketability.
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Working closely with sales teams to understand inventory needs and preferences.
• Reporting on market trends and sales performance related to used car purchases.
