Role:
The Hatchery Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the hatchery in order to meet business objectives to be accountable for all aspects of hatchery performance and ensures that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that’s consistent with quality requirements. They are responsible for planning and implementing best practices and procedures and to delegate authority to key supervisors to manage all functions involved.
Priority:
Manage all hatchery activities direct and implement and effective quality assurance program ensure hatchery follows industry regulations on sanitation, vaccinations, etc. Plan and develop hatch schedules that consider market forecasts and customer orders, supervise employees to ensure all hatchery standard are being met, stay current on industry knowledge and new trends. Communicate with farmers on feeding and breeding practices, maintain appropriate animal welfare in the hatchery.
