What you'll be doing

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Client Partnerships to lead and grow our NYC-based account management team. You will manage a team of 6 account managers while personally handling a portfolio of key clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth, while collaborating closely with delivery, engineering, and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6+ account managers, ensuring consistent achievement of KPIs including CM0 and NRR.
  • Personally manage a $2M+ portfolio across at least one account, ensuring client satisfaction and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders within key accounts.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, delivery, and marketing, to align client goals with company capabilities.
  • Monitor and report on account performance, client satisfaction, and other KPIs, providing strategic insights to leadership.
  • Ensure client retention through proactive engagement and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and software development practices to anticipate client needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, client services, or customer success, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Recent (within the last 1–3 years) experience in SaaS solutions, IT solutions/services, or staff augmentation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of $40M+ in recurring revenue.
  • Strong track record in consultative selling and collaboration with software delivery teams.
  • Hands-on experience managing a personal portfolio of $2M+ while leading a team.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including hiring, firing, and managing team performance.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
