We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Department – Logistics to lead and drive end-to-end plant logistics operations. This role is responsible for defining plant logistics strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering continuous improvement across all logistics functions. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in strengthening supply chain performance and enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the plant logistics strategy, including annual focus topics and improvement initiatives.
- Lead end-to-end plant logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence.
- Oversee Warehouse Management (LOM), Logistics Innovation, IT Systems & Processes (LOI), Value Stream Logistics Planning (LOP), and ASA HUB PgP2 (LOW).
- Ensure achievement of departmental KPIs, budget targets, and operational objectives.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) and actively participate in Bosch Production System (BPS) initiatives.
- Act as a cross-functional bridge within the supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination across departments and divisions.
- Collaborate closely with external partners such as Logistics Service Providers and liners to ensure continuity of supply and customer delivery fulfillment.
- Monitor and manage logistics processes, capabilities, and compliance with standard procedures and industry best practices.
- Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing logistics team.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best-practice exchange across plants and business units.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- 6–7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably within a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of proven leadership experience.
Professional Expertise
- Strong and comprehensive understanding of plant logistics, including Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and physical material flow.
- Good understanding of plant operations and a strong continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience driving operational excellence and managing complex logistics processes.
- Strong conflict management capabilities with the ability to lead in challenging situations.
- Good understanding of digitalization trends and the application of data analytics within logistics and supply chain.
