A Head of Product Management is a senior leadership role in our IT Section, responsible for defining and executing the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with business objectives. Key duties include leading and mentoring a product management team, conducting users’ surveys, driving cross-functional collaboration with software engineering, business line process experts, and business unit managers, overseeing the product lifecycle, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and serving as a strategic advisor to group IT leadership.
At Eurofins, the Product Management team needs to organize and coordinate initiatives to standardize the business processes of more than 300 laboratories, before engaging a product roadmap. This standardization is done through concept alignments (to ensure the same understanding worldwide of concepts used in the network of testing laboratories) and by delivering Business Process Documents, prerequisite of any specification of Business Requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy :
- Develop and execute product strategies, set the product vision, and create a compelling product roadmap.
- Evaluate and manage build vs buy decisions, including third-party components where applicable (Microsoft M365 products, etc)
Management :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers and designers, fostering a culture of strong ownership, result orientation, and innovation.
- Manage product budgets and resource allocation, and set KPIs to monitor product managers specifications plan, and time allocation.
- Champion continuous improvement through retrospectives, product reviews, and internal process audits.
The performance of the product management team is assessed through:
- Various lead time for requirement management: use case validation, specifications of IT Requirements, arbitration of ROI.
- Individual and Team performance of specification to increase the velocity and output.
- Ability of the management team to audit the team delivery, to anticipate deviations and to suggest improved processes (with focus on acceptance criteria, test cases, lean specifications).
Customer orientation :
- Conduct NPS survey and focus groups per process areas to identify opportunities of developments and inform product decisions.
Teams collaboration
- Work closely with software engineering, business operating best practices teams, business process experts from business lines, and other IT teams to ensure successful product development and launch: Eurofins laboratories are accredited and audited against several norms like ISO 17025, GxP practices among others.
- Act as a liaison with senior leadership, stakeholders, and business lines representatives, representing the company's product strategy.
- Facilitate alignment workshops or sessions to support cross-functional decision-making and product arbitration.
Lifecycle management :
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements definition to launch and ongoing optimization.
- Own end-to-end product lifecycle across internal and external digital products supporting Eurofins laboratories
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Review and define our standards for software requirement management, sizing standards, arbitration process as a member of respective Steering Committee.
- Ensure regulatory compliance is embedded into product design and delivery processes.

Skills needed:
- Proven ability to lead and influence teams and clearly communicate complex ideas to stakeholders.
- Capacity to analyse lab regulations, complex processes, and user feedback to make informed decisions.
- Strong understanding of business objectives, laboratory efficiency drivers and regulation constraints.
- Experience collaborating effectively with diverse departments such as software engineering, business operational excellence teams, quality experts.
- Strong ability to drive arbitration on requirements, with stakeholders representing the various area of activity of Eurofins network of laboratory and IT programs, by clarifying and highlighting business values and engineering costs.
- Strong familiarity with Agile or hybrid product development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
- Comfortable using tools such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint, or similar for requirement tracking and collaboration.
- Ability to manage conflicting stakeholder priorities and drive alignment based on business value and feasibility.
- Strong technical understanding to facilitate collaboration with engineering teams and assess technical trade-offs.
Experience Requirements:
The Head of Product Management lead functional teams and support laboratory process standardization. He/she should fulfil:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Mandatory experience as a professional business analyst after finishing BSc/MSc degree
- 8+ years of experience in product management and team leadership, preferably in an industrial context
- Proven experience in streamlining business requirements, especially in a context of remote and distributed experts and customer representatives, over many laboratories in different countries and regions.
- Deep understanding of regulation, norms and country specific legislation constraints
- Ability to align process experts with cross business lines standardization, focusing on business goals; this in close collaboration with software engineering team to balance core platform evolution with client-specific needs.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Value Stream Mapping to drive analysis and educated arbitrations.
- Experience with budgeting, hiring, and resource planning
- Skilled in leading specification reviews and process descriptions assessments.
- Strong communication skills for working with stakeholders and leadership
- Experience working with or managing digital platforms in a regulated B2B or industrial context (e.g., SaaS for laboratories, manufacturing, healthcare).
- Prior involvement in regulatory audits or designing products to meet ISO, GxP, or other compliance requirements.
