Position Summary:
The HR Generalist (HRG) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated operations located in Culloden, WV. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRG acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRG seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRG maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriateAnalyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policiesManages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigationsMaintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory complianceProvides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)Coordinate and facilitate benefit enrollment, processes, and programsWorks closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentionProvides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.Support and coordinate payroll mattersIdentifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needsAssist with the administration of onsite injury issues and safety complianceParticipates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are metOther duties as assigned

Knowledge/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, and/or Industrial Relations or equivalent is requiredMinimum of two (2) to five (5) years' experience as a HR GeneralistDemonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive matters in a professional and discretionary mannerHighly results oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize and implement multiple projects within targeted deadlinesWorking knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment lawsPrevious work experience with an HRIS preferredOccasional travel to other facilities may be expected
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Master's degree and relevant industry experienceRecruiting and retention experience in the Tri-State area
