HSE Engineer (Safety Officer) (SAUDI Arabia)

The HSE Engineer (Safety Officer) plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management at our operational sites in Saudi Arabia. This position is designed for a dedicated professional who is committed to fostering a safety culture and supporting compliance with HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.

• Assist in the development and implementation of HSE plans for projects.

• Identify hazards, assess risks, and develop mitigating measures to promote a safe working environment.

• Provide guidance and support to staff and contractors on HSE practices and procedures.

• Monitor and report on HSE performance statistics and trends.

• Facilitate HSE training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees.

• Support incident investigations to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.

• Ensure emergency response plans are in place and understood by all personnel.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive approach to health and safety.

• Stay updated on HSE legislation and best practices relevant to the industry.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

- Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.

- Certifications:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent certification in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in HSE roles, particularly in safety officer capacities.

• Familiarity with HSE regulations and safety management systems applicable in Saudi Arabia.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of staff.

• Proficient in both Arabic and English languages.
