HVAC Design Engineer

Blue Projects is looking for a skilled HVAC Design Engineer, with solid HVAC background, and experienced in using 3D programs as Revit and AutoCAD.

Eagerness to learn and expand its knowledge is also a key point.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in building services or a related field

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HVAC designer

• Good English speaking and writing skills is mandatory

• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and pressure drop calculations

• Proficiency in designing HVAC systems, including duct sizing, schematic design

• Ability to coordinate with other engineering disciplines and solve integration challenges

• Familiarity with technical aspects of AHU’s, heat pumps, water cooled chillers, cooling towers

• Familiarity with aspects regarding humidity and temperature control

• Excellent understanding of fresh air requirements

• Familiarity with calculation of the heating load according to SR EN 12831 and cooling load according to SR EN ISO 52016

• Proficient in using AUTOCAD and Revit

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and applicable programs

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Background in designing HVAC systems for industrial and logistics buildings is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Create systems according to client’s demand and expectations.

• Propose efficient solutions both in terms of cost and consumption.

• Review the project specifications to define requirements.

• Meet with the client or other consultants to gain a clearer understanding of what type of design is needed.

• Execute technical design and work plan details for air, hot water, and smoke exhaust systems.

• Perform fluid system pressure drop and heat transfer calculations to ensure optimal system performance.

• Conduct calculations for airflow distribution, water and air sizing of the duct system.

• Develop aeraulic and hydraulic schematics for HVAC systems.

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to solve coordination issues and ensure seamless integration with electrical systems, sewage systems, and structures.

• Design technical placement for Air Handling Units (AHUs) and develop layouts for hot and chilled water systems.

• Calculate the required fresh air intake in a building based on its activity and working program.

• Perform accurate heating and cooling load calculations considering external and internal heat inputs.

• Create, verify and validate all Material Approval Forms Answer any questions or solve any problems that come up during conception, design and installation that are related to his design.

• Coordinate with the rest of the design team (Architectural, Structural and Mechanical)
