Job Description
Computer World Services Corp. (CWS) is seeking qualified candidates to support an engineering effort in the National Capital Region (NCR). The work scope is to plan, design, test, build, implement, deploy, and transition Information Technology (IT) solutions to meet various customer requirements in the NCR. Selected candidates will provide customers with seamless transitions to leading edge solutions which meet security requirements and provide operations and maintenance for development and test environments and provide specialized support for mission specific systems and applications.
The Infrastructure Engineer works at the highest systems level to provide expert advice and counsel to assigned functional/user area managers and project teams for systems of the most complex nature, often crossing functional lines.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Designs major network infrastructure solutionsCoordinates work on subsystemsOversees the integration of new network devices which increases efficiency and/or reduce costsInvestigates new procedures, equipment, and appliances to determine their usefulness and applicability to operationsAssists systems management in developing systems analysis standards and provides consultative direction to infrastructure designs, network engineering and planning and scheduling of projects which cross functional lines or are of the most complex nature
Education & Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an IT fieldMust have fifteen or more years’ directly related experience in all phases of systems engineering.Requires advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in all phases of engineering, application, and development of multiple operating systemsKnowledge of or certification in specific applications or processes may be required, depending on job assignment
Certifications
CompTIA Security +, or higher
Security Clearance
Active DOD security clearance (SECRET)
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)
Onsite support within government facilities located across the National Capital Region (NCR)
