Overview of Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be the architect of the client's cloud ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by building automated, scalable, and resilient systems. The contract duration is up to 12 months and remote 100%. The work timings are ET Zone.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the design and implementation of cloud resources using Terraform. Ensure all environments (Dev, Staging, Prod) are version-controlled and reproducible.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and optimize automated deployment pipelines (using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) to facilitate seamless code releases.
- Cloud Architecture: Manage and scale our cloud footprint (AWS, Azure, or GCP), optimizing for performance, high availability, and cost-efficiency.
- Observability & Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks before they impact users.
- Security & Compliance: Embed security into the infrastructure (DevSecOps), managing secrets, IAM policies, and network security groups to protect sensitive data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers to optimize application performance and provide a "self-service" platform that empowers them to manage their own services.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
- Mentality: "Automation first" mindset; if you have to do it twice, you automate it.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to perform root-cause analysis (RCA) on complex distributed systems.
- Communication: Strong ability to explain complex infrastructure concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent work experience required.
