About the role
Join Sana as our founding Integration Engineer and shape the future of how enterprise customers experience our platform. Integrations — connecting Sana Learn with HRIS, content libraries, and other critical enterprise systems — are not just add-ons, but core product features that drive customer value and trust. In this high-impact role, you’ll take full ownership of building, maintaining, and scaling integrations that blend seamlessly into our core product, setting the gold standard for reliability and user experience.
You’ll be the architect behind our integration strategy, ensuring every connection is robust, secure, and future-proof. Your work will directly influence Sana’s ability to deliver enterprise integrations. You’ll own and evolve our key integration repositories, and your contributions will be foundational to Sana’s long-term success as we scale.
In this role, you will
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable integrations between Sana Learn and leading HR systems, content providers, and other enterprise platforms
Take full ownership of our integration codebases, driving best practices, code quality, and strategic direction for all integrations
Build integrations that are indistinguishable from core product features — seamless, reliable, and deeply aligned with Sana’s product standards
Work with modern protocols and standards, ensuring secure and flexible user provisioning and custom attribute mapping across various platforms
Collaborate closely with product, customer, and other engineering teams to deeply understand integration requirements and deliver solutions that exceed enterprise expectations
Troubleshoot, optimize, and future-proof integrations, ensuring they are ready to scale with Sana’s rapid growth
Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code, working extensively with JSON and APIs, and contribute to clear, comprehensive documentation

Champion in-house integration expertise, setting the foundation for Sana’s long-term reliability
Your background looks something like
3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on integrations, APIs, or backend development
Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and JSON-based APIs
Proven track record in building and maintaining integrations with enterprise systems
Deep understanding of user provisioning and authentication protocols, custom attribute mapping, and security best practices for enterprise integrations
Experience owning and evolving codebases in a collaborative GitHub environment
Ability to debug complex API payloads and troubleshoot integration issues across multiple systems
Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code for mission-critical integrations
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset
Nice to have
Experience with content provisioning and caching strategies

Familiarity with SQL and tracking data lineage for user attributes across APIs and manual updates
