AERONES is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Controls & Security Specialist to enhance the effectiveness of our internal control systems and security processes. This is a vital role in ensuring that company operations are secure, efficient, and ethical. This role combines elements of physical and digital security oversight with operational auditing and internal investigations. The officer identifies and addresses issues related to inefficient use of company resources, non-compliance with internal procedures, potential fraud, and process gaps across departments, from field operations to supply chain to administration.
Working cross-functionally with HR, field leads, supply chain, IT, and management, the officer supports the organization in maintaining a high standard of trust, accountability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor use of company assets (e.g. equipment, vehicles, fuel cards) to identify misuse or inefficiencies.
- Review internal data to validate performance and policy adherence.
- Investigate internal issues by reviewing documentation, conducting interviews, and reporting outcomes.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to identify and prevent fraudulent vendor or subcontractor behavior.
- Conduct interviews and inquiries to uncover root causes of performance issues, resource waste, or non-compliance.
- Recommend process improvements and preventive measures after investigations.
- Document and report investigation findings clearly and objectively to the management.
- Support physical security implementation (e.g. cameras, access control) and use monitoring tools to detect abnormalities.
- Promote a culture of operational integrity and process discipline across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in internal controls, security, or compliance roles.
- Strong investigative mindset with experience in internal auditing, compliance, security, or operations management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Can conduct interviews and gain trust while being thorough.
- Experience in handling sensitive information, and navigating employee or supplier misconduct diplomatically.
- Strong analytical ability - comfortable working with operational and performance data.
- Understanding of physical security systems and digital audit tools (e.g. access logs, tracking software, camera systems).
- High integrity, resilience, and discretion.
- Previous experience in risk analysis, internal controls, operations auditing, or fraud detection preferred.
